Gregory D. Golden (“Greg”) is a native Atlantan. Greg obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University. He was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Georgia in 1997. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, including the Family Law Section, and the Atlanta Bar Association, including the Family Law Section.

Since graduating law school and becoming a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Greg has practiced domestic and family law. In 1997, Greg was hired by the Law Office of Lawrence D. Kupferman as an associate. In 2001, Larry and Greg formed their present partnership. Greg is also admitted to practice in the Court of Appeals of Georgia and the Supreme Court of Georgia, in which he conducts his appellate practice, working to correct unjust results. In recent years, Greg has successfully argued many cases before the Supreme Court of Georgia, which are listed below.  Greg has also been successful before the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and these cases are also listed below.

Greg has also been trained as a guardian ad litem and frequently serves in such a capacity. In such a case, he is appointed by a superior court judge to represent the best interests of children in contested custody matters. He investigates the issues in such cases by meeting with the parties, meeting with the children, interviewing witnesses (lay and expert), as well as reviewing all relevant documentation (e.g., school records, medical records, photographs, court filings, police reports, etc.). At the end of his investigation, he makes a report to the Court concerning his conclusions and recommendations.
